  • Before you can start adding your organisation’s risks to Mango, you need to set up a template(s).

It is important that you think about what data you need to capture as when the template is locked it cannot be edited in the future. This is because the template designs the internal database.

Note: before setting up a template, draft it first and have the organisation approve it before setting it up as a template.

In the template setup, there are two fields that the system sets up by default. These are the Name of the risk and a field for Rating.

  • Mango allows you the freedom to create your own risk register templates:

    • Log on to Mango™.
    • Click on System Administration on the left panel.
    • Click on Risk Template Setup on either the panel or the fly-out menu.
    • Click on Add. The Risk Template setup details will appear.
    • Enter data.
    • Field: Risk Template Name (Default):
      • This is the name of the Risk Template which the system will use.
    • Template builder:
      • Mango does not limit the number of fields that you can add to a template. There can be multiple combinations of the four field types.
      • The person setting up the template can organise these fields by simply dragging them into the appropriate order (note: this can be done any time before locking the template).
    • Form fields you can add to your template are:
      • Add Text Field: this will create a field in the template in which the user can type text.
      • Add Checkbox Field: this will create a field in the template that is a tick box.
      • Add Drop-down List Field: this will create a drop-down list. You control the content of the list.
      • Add Date Field: this will create a field for you to enter a date into.
    • Field: Rating (default rating):
      • In this text box you are able to setup your organisation’s rating criteria. This is free text.
      • For example you can create a table listing severities and occurrence rates and a formula for calculating the overall risk.
    • Field: Send new risk notification to:
      • In the drop-down box all employees will be displayed who can receive notification by email when any individual reports a risk.
    • Field: Open template for data entry:
      • Once you tick this option and save, the template is locked and the database is created. Note: if you want to leave your register template to work on it at another time, don’t tick the box – click on Save instead. It will save the work you have done so far without locking it in.
    • Click on Save.
