Freebie Friday - Home Office Setup

Posted by Craig Thornton

This year has been a year of many changes, not least of which is the ability to work from home.

With the everchanging working landscape, it’s important to maintain awareness of how our home office work stations are setup. This is especially important if we are alternating work/home on a semi regular basis.

It is all too easy to slip into bad habits when moving the work station to home because surely it hasn’t changed since last time?

By spending a few minutes each day when we sit down ensuring everything is comfortable and accessible, we can save ourselves a whole heap of pain down the road.

Here is a great video by our Mango partner Michael Terry, from Momentum Safety and Ergonomics in which he gives us some useful tips and ideas on how to set up your own home office work station.

Michael is an experienced physiotherapist and since 2004 he has focused on preventive solutions to workplace safety and ergonomic issues. This has seen him work in a duel capacity as an ergonomist and OHS consultant and places him in an ideal position to be an authority on the subject.

Momentum offers online safety and ergonomic assessments as well as other training opportunities.
