What is competency? 

A competency relates to your employee's measurable attributes that enhance their performance.

This includes their knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics. 


Main Types of Competencies


A functional competency is also known as a skill or technical task that the employee will be able to successfully carry out.


A behavioural competency is something that the employee excels in, often in relation to other people, such as the ability to remain calm under pressure.
